Engagement - the key is to create participation:
1. Ask a question and then ask the entire group to give you a thumbs up if the understand. Everyone takes action (movement). It's also another form of calibration. 2. At different times during the session ask one of the attendees to share an insight from what was covered so far. It can be as simple as, "Bob, what are your thoughts on this?" This will also put everyone else on alert to pay attention thinking they may be called on next. The person being called on feels acknowledged. This enhances the learning and value. 3.
